Fuel Injector 156-3895 111-7916 198-4752 20R-5392 198-6877 169-7408 171-9704 for C-A-T Caterpillar 3412 Engine

Engineered for continuous-duty diesel power units, injector 111-7916 delivers the precise fuel metering required by 3412 Series engines operating under sustained load. Designed as a direct-fit assembly for 3412, 3412B and 3412C configurations, and cross-referenced to alternate number 0R-8479, this component supports marine propulsion systems, prime and standby generator sets, mining power units, oilfield drilling rigs, industrial compressors and pump drives where uninterrupted output is critical.

The assembly is built with heavy-duty construction, high-temperature tolerance and corrosion-resistant materials, holding OEM-level dimensional accuracy for consistent spray pattern and atomization efficiency. Improved atomization raises combustion efficiency, lowers fuel consumption and reduces emissions, while balanced injection across all cylinders stabilizes engine performance and helps extend overall engine service life. Performance remains reliable in extreme ambient and dust-laden environments typical of mining, marine and remote power station duty.

Installation requires shutting off the fuel supply, removing the existing injector, thoroughly cleaning the injector bore, fitting new seals and gaskets, seating the injector to specification and torquing to the manufacturer's standard, then bleeding air from the fuel system and checking for leaks before verifying fuel balance and engine performance. For maximum service life, use high-quality diesel, replace fuel filters on schedule, avoid moisture contamination, maintain correct fuel pressure, perform periodic injector testing and monitor engine performance indicators.
